Reading Responses
For each
reading, 2-3 students will sign up to post a blog entry on this site
about the reading. For the post, the student should select an image:
1)
Define
and describe a concept from the reading.
2)
Introduce
the image you have selected and perform a close visual reading by describing
the image carefully.
3)
Analyze
the relationship of the image to the concepts in the reading
The post should
focus on applying the concept of the reading to an image, not a summary of the
reading. The students are required to present their post at the beginning of
class.
The blog post is
due by 12pm on the THURSDAY BEFORE THE READING IS DUE. All students are
required to read this blog post before the start of class at 10AM on Friday.
All students are highly encouraged to comment on the blog entries and are
required to participate in this open forum of discussion thoughtfully and respectfully.
All students are
required to complete all readings thoroughly and thoughtfully before the start
of class for participation in discussion.
